Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT): A short-term therapy that teaches mindfulness to prevent relapse into depression and manage anxiety, enhancing resilience against life’s difficulties.

With a Master’s degree from Western Michigan University, she has extensive experience across various settings, offering evidence-based, culturally-informed care to diverse populations, including the LGBTQIA community. What Does the Therapy Process Involve?
Your therapy journey begins with an initial interview to understand your reasons for seeking therapy. The first couple of sessions will include a thorough review of your concerns, supplemented by questionnaires to aid in developing a personalized treatment plan. This plan may include psychotherapy alone or in combination with other services like medical evaluation.
How Long Does Each Therapy Session Last?
Standard therapy sessions last about 55 minutes. However, the duration can vary depending on the nature of the treatment and the specific needs of each client.
Do You Accept Insurance?
Yes, we accept Medica, United insurance plans, and now BCBS PPO. For those out-of-network, your benefits may still cover our services under the terms of your insurance policy. We’re also actively working to expand our in-network coverage.
What Are Your Operating Hours?
Our clinic is open for appointments from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays, with our therapist being available to see patients during these hours. Our phone hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
What Forms of Payment Do You Accept?
We accept cash, checks, and credit/debit cards, including FSA and HSA cards. There is a convenience fee for credit and debit transactions. We strive to make billing as straightforward as possible for our clients.
